Vern is a guy that I miss very much. We had a LOT of laughs together before he moved out west to be near his sister, got married, had a family, and settled down. I was Shocked to learn of Vern's passing as he was always a very 'healthy' guy that was always outdoor hiking in the mountains etc......He is missed! I will always think of Vern when I hear the Eagles song "Take It Easy" as he loved singing along to the verse, "It's a Girl, My Lord, in a Flat Bed Ford, slowin' down to take a look at me!".......Then He'd giggle........miss that.
During one of his visits to my place, he made the mistake of putting his contact lenses in a glass of water on the nightstand next to the couch where he crashed for the night. Bad news was that my wife got up early and emptied the glass in the kitchen sink before Vern woke up...........life lesson learned! (o; I miss Vern.
