I spent many an after-school afternoon at Rudy Holz's Dads Garage. We'd mess around with auto-mechanics stuff, and on occasion we'd find a couple wheels that fit my Mother car, put on some old tires off the rack, and pump them up to about 100 PSI so that we could squael the tires around town for fun!.........good memories. I lost track of Rudy after graduation from high school.
Rudy was a fun guy, and I was sorry to hear of his passing! Dang it getting old sucks! (o;
If I remember correctly, I was told that he always wanted to buy a Harley, and when he picked it up on his way home he was hit by a truck with his wife following him in her car? Not sure about the specifics, as this information came to me 'second-hand'. Sad story any way you look at it. Enjoy life while you are vertical, as it can happen any time!
Rudy and I were good buddies at Peace Lutheran School. He was so funny and fun. Our class reunion wasn't too long after his accident. He was one I'd been looking forward to seeing (you guys, too, of course!) and was grieved to hear we'll have to wait until Heaven to reconnect!
