Pete! No comments?! Sorry, old friend. You were a goof, and probably never achieved heights you could have, IF you had chosen your best buddy better (thankfully, you survived in spite of him). I'm proud to have been a friend, too. We did have laughs in school and out. I was honored you reconnected some years ago when you were having medical issues. Thankful you are no longer having to deal with them and pray you are at peace! (I write this as though to Pete and don't believe he can read this; it's what I would say if he could)
I am glad I was able to keep in touch with Pete the last few years as he was working through life events. He was a fun loving guy who deserves being remembered. Peace is now his.
Thanks Pam and Faith for posting and reminding me to also say a few words about Pete. He really was a goofball, but a very nice person. There were many laughs in high school, but I, like alot of us lost touch after high school. As with others, I'm glad I got to reconnect with him on fb in the last few years. I think he may have finally found some peace in his life and now, for sure. Rest in Peace, Pete.
What I remember about Peter is his impish sense of humor. We go way back to Saint John's. I could never get away with much. But it seemed impossible for Pete to make the nuns mad at him.
I was glad that he and I connected on Facebook. Farewell, old friend.
I am happy to see posts about Pete. Not seeing any obituaries or notices made me unsure of his passing and if to post.
Pete and I were in our senior history class (Mr. Belanger) together and sat across from each other. Pete was quite fun and very funny. We would bump into each other occasionally after graduation. I also reconnected with him on FB. He used to send me "oldie" songs daily. Being I could not keep up I had to tell him........"enough on the tunes already Pete!!" He lol'ed me!!
Now Pete, you are free of the pain, the heartaches, and I will be waiting for those "tunes!" I know when I do, I will think of you.
RIP
I remember Peter from the old neighborhood on South Virginia St. He was always a lot of fun, easy going - a good friend. I recently reconnected with Peter on Face Book and have been "friends" for a few years now. I'm going to miss him much.
